“The best educational start”

A small friendly pre-school where children can feel at home, we have two carpeted rooms, one used for quiet activities and one for more boisterous physical activities. Registered for twenty children 2½ to 5 years old, we have a minimum of four adults at every session plus any parent who wishes to stay. This allows us to give the children plenty of individual attention. Play leaders and all regular helpers are approved by Office of Standards in Education  Early Years (OFSTED) & have all received relevant early years training. The pre-school has passed an OFSTED inspection.

We follow the guidelines set down by the Pre-school Learning Alliance, and in line with their recommendations we like to ensure each child's attendance for at least two sessions each week to strengthen familiarity with members of the group and to take advantage of the well balanced weekly programme. Our main emphasis is on learning through play and making learning fun.

We hope that our pre-school gives families the chance to make new friends, share experiences and also enables parents to have a short break from the important but demanding job of bringing up young children.
