As an extra we run a lunch club each day. This is held from the end of the pre-school morning session at 12 noon until 12.55pm. Any child who is a member of of pre-school may attend. The cost is £2.50 per session. Children are required to bring a packed lunch from home. After the children who go home for lunch have departed we sit down around a large table to eat our lunch. After lunch we play games or have the bikes out, outside in the playground if the weather permits, otherwise in the large room.
The lunch club gives the children the opportunity to get used to eating lunch in a large group and playing out after lunch; much as they will when they start school. It also gives parents a little longer to complete any errands they may have to attend to whilst knowing that their child is being cared for in a safe and familiar setting.
